Seachtain na Gaeilge is an international festival that takes place this year from the 1st – 17th March.
In Scoil Ursula, everybody is making an effort to use their few Irish words during the dya.
On the 10th March we put on a big show in the hall.
All the children from Junior Infants to 6th class were practicing songs, poems and dances.
We had a “green day” on the day too.
The children and their teachers put on a fantastic show on the Friday.
Well done boys and girls! You were absolutely brilliant!

Operation Transformation will start in Scoil Ursula on Wednesday the 1st of March.
All children will participate in different activities every morning for ten minutes. Activities will include: skipping, basketball games, dodgeball, playground games etc. Teams will rotate and enjoy a new activity everyday.
On Fridays all students and staff will learn a new dance taught by Ms. Byrne, Ms. Glavin and Ms. Crowley! I’m sure your child will tell you all about it!!
Let’s work together in school and at home to continue making Scoil Ursula a fitter and healthier place.

We did lots of different Art activities over the month of December. Have a look at our Angels, Snow Globes, and Christmas Stockings. We also helped teacher and Erica decorate gingerbread houses.

One of the highlights of the Junior Infant day is most definitely Maths stations. The boys and girls work very hard to develop their sorting, counting, pattern, number and comparing skills.
Have a look at some pictures of us at work.
