Operation Transformation started in Scoil Ursula on Wednesday the 1st of March.
Some teams enjoyed playing ‘Sharks and Islands’ with Mrs. Gilley while others had great fun playing dodgeball with Mrs. Corkery on the field.

Operation Transformation will start in Scoil Ursula on Wednesday the 1st of March.
All children will participate in different activities every morning for ten minutes. Activities will include: skipping, basketball games, dodgeball, playground games etc. Teams will rotate and enjoy a new activity everyday.
On Fridays all students and staff will learn a new dance taught by Ms. Byrne, Ms. Glavin and Ms. Crowley! I’m sure your child will tell you all about it!!
Let’s work together in school and at home to continue making Scoil Ursula a fitter and healthier place.
For the month of November the children had gymnastics with Miss Glavin and Miss Crowley. The children practiced gymnastics on the floor mats as well as on the benches. Over the four weeks the children became familiar with gymnastics shapes, jumps and moves. On the last day of after school sports we took some pictures of the children in action. The pictures show the children progressing from walking across the bench to cart wheeling off the bench. Again, the children progressed from forward rolls on the floor to cartwheels and handstands. The children enjoyed gymnastics and we look forward to running it again.
